Unrivaled Sports Expands by Acquiring YTH Sports

Unrivaled Sports, renowned for delivering premium youth sports experiences and facilities, announced the acquisition of YTH Sports, known for operating the Soccer Youth series and the All-American Series, showcasing young talent nationwide. This move comes on the heels of the recent formation of Unrivaled Sports by Josh Harris, David Blitzer, and The Chernin Group.

Through the acquisition, Unrivaled Sports is set to host an estimated 600,000 athletes and 1.2 million participants in 2024 across its 13 properties, which include notable names like Ripken Baseball® facilities, Cooperstown All Star Village, Baseball Factory™, Softball Factory™, We Are Camp, and the ForeverLawn Sports Complex at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Village.

Unrivaled Sports Expands by Acquiring YTH SportsAmanda Shank, the Executive Vice President at Unrivaled Sports, expressed excitement about the acquisition, noting YTH and Soccer Youth’s alignment with their mission to provide unparalleled sports experiences to young athletes. Shank highlighted the positive feedback from families and athletes participating in their diverse sports offerings, pointing out that incorporating soccer into Unrivaled Sports’ repertoire through the acquisition was a strategic move.

YTH Sports is recognized for its innovative approach to youth sports, particularly through its Soccer Youth brand and All-American Series, which is slated to host 20 events across 13 states and Canada. These events are expected to draw participants from over 40 states and several countries, marking Unrivaled Sports’ debut in the soccer domain and signaling its intention to broaden and enhance its youth sports services. Scott Hacker, the founder of YTH Sports, along with his team, will join Unrivaled Sports, contributing their expertise in crafting novel event and program formats for individual athletes.

Hacker shared his enthusiasm about becoming part of Unrivaled Sports, anticipating the development of new programs aimed at enriching the youth sports landscape. His prior collaboration with Ripken Baseball® in 2023 to initiate the All-Ripken Games—a competition for skilled young baseball and softball players held at Ripken Baseball’s facilities—illustrates the synergistic potential of this new partnership within the Unrivaled Sports framework.
