TeachMe.To, a platform that simplifies learning for beginners, has secured $2 million in seed funding, led by 1984 Ventures, with contributions from Common Metal, Alumni Ventures, and a syndicate of angel investors including Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI; Ben Lauzier, former VP of Product & Growth at Thumbtack; Vivek Patel, former CPO at Yelp; and Brent Turner, President of Rover.
This funding will fuel growth and introduce enhancements to create a comprehensive lesson experience.
TeachMe.To makes acquiring new skills easy and accessible for various types of learners, while also providing opportunities for talented athletes to monetize their skills. The platform allows students of all ages to find and book local lessons with nearby, affordable, and friendly coaches in over 100 U.S. cities. Currently, TeachMe.To offers lessons in sports such as pickleball, golf, tennis, and surfing.
The platform also enables vetted coaches to expand their client base or venture into coaching by connecting with students seeking introductory lessons or ongoing training. Top earners on TeachMe.To are already earning over $5,000 per month.
