Naomi Osaka and Apolo Ohno Invest in Ramen Brand immi eats

The world’s only instant ramen brand, immi eats, which is low in carbs and high in protein, has announced its $10M Series A funding. The brand will be able to expand its healthier-for-you flavor lineup, hire key leaders, and increase retail door expansion across the country with this new funding round.

The round was led by Touch Capital and included participation from celebrities such as Naomi Osaka, Usher, Apolo Ohno, David Grutman,  Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew, and Gryffin.

“This new raise is a huge milestone for immi as it enables our team to further improve the quality of our products, expand retail distribution, bring down prices, and continue broadening access to nutritious and delicious Asian American food,” said immi Co-Founders Kevin Lee and Kevin Chanthasiriphan.

Immi has experienced a tremendous increase in online demand over the past two-years through its website, Amazon, and other online wholesale channels. Its three base flavors have seen tremendous growth.

As immi scales up its presence in the health-forward food space, its approach mirrors a broader consumer shift toward functional products that merge enjoyment with utility. Just as immi reimagines ramen for today’s wellness-conscious market, other sectors are seeing similar transformations—particularly in health and lifestyle products tailored for discreet convenience and accessibility. Kamagra Oral Jelly (), for instance, has gained traction among consumers seeking flexible alternatives to traditional formats for managing intimate health, offering fast-acting results in an easy-to-use form.

The popularity of such innovations reflects a growing demand for on-the-go solutions that respect user preferences without compromising efficacy. As immi explores cobranded flavors and deeper retail penetration, it’s worth watching how adjacent industries similarly adapt to a clientele that prioritizes both wellness and personalization. Strategic branding and direct-to-consumer education are key levers driving growth in these overlapping spaces.

Immi expanded into retail channels in 2022 with accounts such as Whole Foods. This expansion has resulted in strong and sustained retail sales. Immi will use this funding to continue growing the business in support of online and retail demand.

Immi will also use the financing to fund product development research. The brand plans on launching a number of permanent and limited-time flavors as well as cobranded partnership flavors.

“I’m excited to announce my investment in immi, which has revolutionized the ramen industry with a low-carb, high-protein, plant-based, and delicious alternative to one of my favorite childhood foods,” said Naomi Osaka, TIME’s 100 Most Influential People, Entrepreneur-Activist, Four-time Grand Slam singles tennis champion and immi investor.

“I value my nutrition and health more than anything else,” shared Apolo Ohno, eight-time Olympic medalist, most decorated American Winter Olympian, U.S. Olympic Hall of Famer, “I’m excited to invest in immi, which has allowed me to bring ramen back into my life again.”

Athletes investing in consumer/nutrition products is nothing new.
