MLP and PPA Merger: United Pickleball Pro League is Finally Here

Two prominent professional pickleball organizations, MLP by Margaritaville (MLP) and Carvana PPA Tour (PPA Tour), have announced a merger to create a unified professional pickleball holding company.

This consolidation, backed by a $50 million investment, combines both MLP’s innovative team-based, coed league format and PPA Tour’s traditional bracket-style tour format into a single parent company.

The merger aims to provide players, fans, and sponsors with a more streamlined schedule and a single entity overseeing both brands. The unified organization will support and promote both MLP and the PPA Tour, offering greater clarity and consistency for the professional pickleball community. It also creates opportunities for player competition, broadcasting rights, and sponsorship throughout the professional pickleball calendar.

The new parent company will have over 150 leading professional pickleball players and an extensive calendar of team and individual events. The board of directors will include prominent business leaders, investors, and professional athletes.

This merger reflects the growing interest in professional pickleball and the desire to create a more cohesive and organized experience for all stakeholders involved.
