Mercury 13 to Invest $100 million Buying Women’s Clubs

Mercury 13, led by sports entrepreneur Victoire Cogevina Reynal, has revealed plans to invest $100 million in acquiring women’s soccer clubs in Europe and Latin America. Their first acquisition is England’s second-division side Lewes FC, which plays in the FA Women’s Championship. Lewes FC is known for its commitment to gender equality, splitting its budget and resources equally between its men’s and women’s teams.

The group includes former players like ex-England forward Eni Aluko and ex-Italy goalkeeper Arianna Criscione, as well as former FIFA Chief Innovation Officer Luis Vicente and Nancy Hensley, formerly the Chief of Product and Marketing at Stats Perform.
