Fantasy Life, the sports media company focused on fantasy sports and sports betting, has successfully raised $2 million in a friends and family funding round.
This round saw participation from prominent investors such as John Legend, Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals quarterback), Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills quarterback), Ja’Marr Chase, Austin Ekeler, and Lebron James.
Matthew Berry, NBC Sports analyst and the company’s founder, leads Fantasy Life’s efforts to provide engaging content and insights for fantasy sports enthusiasts and bettors.

Fantasy Life began as a daily email newsletter in 2020, using the title of Matthew Berry’s bestselling book. Originally created to promote the company’s merchandise store, it has since grown into a substantial media enterprise, boasting 350,000 email subscribers and over 2 million monthly visitors to fantasylife.com.
Matthew Berry shared that Fantasy Life is currently profitable, generating seven-figure annual revenue without external funding. With 13 full-time employees and additional contractors, the company’s main revenue sources are ads and sponsorships.
Additionally, Fantasy Life produces content for other media platforms, including a show on SiriusXM’s Fantasy Sports Radio channel and a Fantasy Life Pick n’ Play game on Facebook.
