BridgeAthletic Acquires Game Plan

BridgeAthletic, a leading provider of strength and conditioning software, announced today the completion of a strategic growth capital investment and the acquisition of Game Plan, a top learning management system for athletic organizations and teams. This merger creates the first integrated athlete development solution in the industry, trusted by major professional sports leagues and over 10,000 sports teams and tactical groups worldwide.

Strength training is rapidly growing, especially among younger fitness enthusiasts and Gen Z. According to a recent American College of Sports Medicine survey, it is the second-most popular fitness trend. Despite its popularity, over 80% of performance-driven coaches and trainers still use spreadsheets and pen-and-paper methods for workouts.

BridgeAthletic Acquires Game PlanBridgeAthletic aids performance-driven coaches and trainers in optimizing training through data. These innovative practitioners utilize BridgeAthletic’s technology and automation engine to design and deliver personalized workout programs. With the addition of Game Plan, BridgeAthletic will now offer a new learning modality, enhancing the athlete development journey.

“We are thrilled to welcome Game Plan and its team to BridgeAthletic. Our interest in Game Plan was driven by our community’s needs. Combining training and education on one platform will create a transformative experience for athletes worldwide,” said Fadi Zoghzoghy, CEO and Co-Founder of BridgeAthletic.

The strategic growth capital led by W3, a Colorado-based family office with a history of investing in leading sports and fitness companies, facilitated the integration. This capital will help BridgeAthletic incorporate Game Plan’s learning management system and expand its cutting-edge technology. The resulting platform combines training and online learning to create a data-driven athlete development continuum known as “Train, Learn, Adapt.”

“We are excited to join forces with BridgeAthletic to create the first integrated athlete development platform,” said Mike Banville, President of Game Plan and SVP of BridgeAthletic. “By combining Bridge’s top-tier technology with our online learning capabilities, we aim to revolutionize performance experiences for all athletes.”
