Several Athletes Invest in Slate Milk’s $10.5M Series A

Terance Mann joined Duncan Robinson and former Olympians Josh Dixon + Lauren Gibbs to invest in Slate Milk, a fast-growing and all-natural canned milk and latte brand. To fuel its growth, the company announced a $10.5 million Series A fundraising.

Slate Milk was founded in 2019 with the goal of providing strength and energy in a more healthy way for those in sports and exercise. Slate Milk contains 20g protein and 0g added sugar. It also has 120 calories. All of their products are free of lactose.

It was initially intended to create healthier chocolate milk. Three years ago, two young people in their 20s came up with the idea of healthier chocolate milk. It has since grown to be much more. Slate provides a platform for professional athletes, gyms and athletes across the country, as well as fitness and influencers.

The modern NBA athlete is becoming more than just an athlete. They are becoming podcasters, movie producers and actors, as well as analysts for ESPN and investors.

Although many people do this later in their careers, Terance Mann, 26, and Duncan Robinson, 28, are making this transition so early in their careers.

We’ve seen this in the rise of athlete centered media as well as social media.
