AI Golf Swing App Sparrow Raises $5.7M

Sparrow has announced that it raised $5.7 Million in a financing round comprised only of angel investors. This is the largest round of such funding ever recorded.

This increase follows the launch of the Sparrow Golf App earlier in the year.

This AI-driven app has received a glowing 4.6 star rating on the App Store. It helps golfers improve their swing and results in shorter drives and lower handicaps.

We’re seeing a lot more applications of AI in sports. And golf technology continues to explode.

The company was founded in golf and plans to expand its offerings to all sports.

“We’re in the first inning of a brand-new industry – AI-guided athletic improvement,” says Joe Chin, serial entrepreneur and founder/CEO of Sparrow. “We are starting off in golf, then plan to go into all sports, unlocking a potential $100 billion market.”

Sparrow intends to close its record-breaking Angel round by the end of this year.

Sparrow’s founders sold three companies and helped to build many apps and sites. One of these was purchased by Twitter for $30 million and the other is valued at $3 billion. The Keiretsu Forum is the largest angel network worldwide.
